What personal belongings do you hold most dear?
I don’t consider myself to be a materialistic person, but there are definitely a few select items that I hold dear.
Wedding Memorabilia

There are a couple items from our wedding that mean the world to me. The first one is my ring. My husband chose it for me, and did a wonderful job. Through his choice in ring, I knew he understood my personality well.
For our first anniversary, I got my husband a glass case with printed photos from our wedding. This case has a home on the wall mounted shelf under the tv, central in our living room yet out of toddler reach.
Christmas Ornament

This particular Christmas ornament is dear to my heart because the glass was blown with my Grandpa’s ashes in it.
My grandpas wish was to be cremated and have his ashes spread at our family cabin that he had built for Grandma. Our family chose to retain some of those ashes and have them made into a Christmas ornament for each of his children and grandchildren.
Necklace

I had this necklace made, with the center stone created from breastmilk from my exclusive pumping journey with my first daughter. It is a tribute to the sweat, milk, and tears that I put into making sure our daughter was fed and healthy during her first year of life.
